PROGRAM

4:00pm Friday 21 August 2009 Entries (forms) close. 

4:00pm Friday 21 August 2009 All school work/projects must be submitted by this date for prejudging 

3 to 28 August 2009 Physical entries (for non-perishable entries) will be accepted at the Burke Shire Council Office 

Wednesday 26 August 2009 Physical entries (for non perishable entries) will be accepted at the Burke Shire Hall from 9:00am - 3:00pm 
 

Friday 28 August 2009 Physical entries (for non perishable entries) will be accepted at the Burke Shire hall from 1:00pm - 6:00pm 
 

(Saturday 29 August 2009)
 

10:00am - 11:30 Physical entries (for perishable entries only{cooking & horticulture}) accepted at the hall by appropriate Stewards 
 

12:noon - 2:00pm Judging 
 

2:30 - 6:00pm Doors open to public 
 

5:00pm - 6:00pm Wine & Cheese, Presentation of Awards & Prizes and Auction 
 

6:00pm - 8:00pm Exhibits available for collection

A panel of Judges to jointly judge all the categories will be appointed by the Show Group

Peoples Choice Prize

Section winner Prize

Categories Certificates to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and highly commended
 

A Section Winner to be awarded for each section based on the Judges decision.
 

The Peoples Choice award will be based upon votes awarded by the members of the public that attend the Show.

All children who exhibit will receive a participation certificate & prize.
 
 


Conditions of Entry


Entry is free.
 

All entries must be the entrants own unaided work.
 

Entries that have won a prize (1st, 2nd 3rd or Highly Commended) at a previous Burke Shire Arts & Craft Show will not be eligible for entry.
 

Entrants must submit an entry form to Cheryl Portch, Burke Shire Office in Burketown prior to 4:00pm on Friday 21 August 2009 to be eligible for judging. Entry forms can be posted, faxed or submitted by hand. Contact details are on front page of this programme. Extra entry forms can be obtained from Burke Shire Office in Burketown, from website www.burkeshirecouncil.com or photocopied from this programme.
 

Non perishable physical entries will be accepted from 3 August 2009 at the Burke Shire Office in Burketown as well as at the Burke Shire Hall on Wednesday 26 August from 9:00am - 3:00pm & Friday 28 August from 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Perishable entries (cooking & horticulture), and as noted under the relevant categories, are to be presented to appropriate Steward between 10:00am and 11:30 on the morning of the Show. 

ABSOLUTELY NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED!
 

All physical entries to be tagged securely with entrants name, section and category number. Each Exhibitor will be issued a number which is to replace their name on the exhibits for judging purposes. 
 

Stewards have the right to reclassify entries where determined appropriate.
 

Stewards have the right to choose entries for display purposes. 
 

Exhibitors are responsible for collecting their exhibits at the appropriate times. Exhibitors must be issued their collection from the appropriate Steward and are not to remove exhibits themselves. The Show Group will not take responsibility for any exhibits not collected. Uncollected exhibits will be kept for a period of seven days from the date of the Show, following which they will be disposed of at the discretion of the Show Group.
 

Any donation of entries for auction would be greatly appreciated (the auction proceeds are to be donated to the RFDS & any other community organisation show group decides upon). 
 

Exhibitors may price their entries for sale but the sale of any items is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. 
 

Whilst all care is taken, competitors should make their own arrangements for the insurance of their exhibits.
