3st WORLD BARRAMUNDI FISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS


Barramundi Fishing
    • When
    The Championships will be held over Easter 2008 – from Friday 21st March to Sunday 23rd March. The event is hosted by the Burketown Barramundi Fishing Organisation for the benefit of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and other community service groups.
     
    • Where
    In the Albert, Nicholson & Leichhardt rivers around Burketown in Queensland.
     
    • Sections, Costs & Nominations
    Entry fees are:- Open section $25, Junior section (14 years and under) $10, Family section (2 adults and 2 juniors) $50. Nominations are open from 6:00pm Thursday 13th April to 12:00 noon Saturday 15th  April 2007
     
    • Calendar of Events
    Thursday 20th March – Nominations open at 6:00pm and close at 10:00pm. 

    Friday 21st March – Nominations and weigh-ins open 8:00am to 11:00am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm.  Entertainment, food and bar at the Shire Hall from 7:00pm.

    Saturday 22nd March – Nominations and weigh-ins open 8:00am to 11:00am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Final nominations close at 11:00am. 

    Sunday 23rd March –Weigh-ins open at 8:00am and close (final) at 1:00pm. Entertainment, food and bar at the Shire Hall from 6:00pm, including presentation of prizes and trophies.
