Burketown is host to the famous World
Barramundi Fishing Championships in Easter each year. A fun weekend
for all the family with over $20,000 in cash, prizes and trophies.
With maximum size catches for barramundi of 1 metre allowed. 2009 saw a
1m 13kg Barramundi take the $3,200 prize for the heaviest barramundi.
